Laundry day in Chukhung

This message took me a minute to understand:

I'm not sure which is better SOB meaning "short of breath" or the usual.

Here's what laundry looks like. He says his feet are very clean. And cold. It got down to -10 F last night. Not sure what the temp was at laundry time.

Also, there's some disparity in the information that I have. Can't quite figure it out. His watch consistently registers him at about 17,700 feet. All the information I can find about the village he's in says it is about 15,500. Whether he's at 15k or 17K, I suppose it doesn't matter exactly, but I just wanted to explain it if you notice the difference. I've also found reports of one ladder in the Khumbu icefall this year, and another report that there are 20 (I'll write more about the Icefall soon). I guess that is all just the challenge of figuring things out from far away.

His team is getting closer to him. Peter thinks they are about 4 miles away, but on a lower trail. They'll meet up the day after tomorrow.

Peter asked me to say thanks to all of you who are following along. He really can feel it and appreciates your support. [The place where I'd insert a heart emoji if I knew whether that was acceptable blogging style.]
