What Makes a Pirate?
Recently Soren was the very happy recipient of a sword-shaped balloon. (You know, the kind of balloons that they tie into all sorts of kid pleasing shapes?) He also got a balloon belt with a special spot to slide his sword.
As we were walking down the street he was busy playing with his sword, pretending to be a pirate. He called:
"Mom, look at me! I'm a pirate! Do I look like I'm from Somalia?"
I laughed pretty hard about that. And as we walked along I could hear him talking to himself:
"I'm a pirate! Pirates don't say please!"
Yep, that pretty much does sum it up, doesn't it. Pirates have some very bad manners.
