Photos from Eric, Everest Base Camp to Camp 1

Now that they are back in better contact at Everest Base Camp, I'm getting lots of photos! Eric, Peter's climbing partner has shared so many incredible pictures. These photos are from the section from Everest Base Camp, through the Khumbu Icefall, and on to Camp 1. They started this section at about 1 a.m. (you'll see some photos are in the dark) and took around 10 hours. Especially with there being some clear favorites in the ultra-specialized high-altitude mountaineering gear (boots and packs in particular, plus so many down puffies), it is sometimes hard to tell the climbers apart! The Sherpas on the team all are wearing the same red jacket (though other team members also have red jackets). I can spot Peter and Eric in a few of the shots, I'll point them out below.

  1. Awesome photos! Interesting to see a Sherpa using trekking poles, I was debating their value for climbing but here's great evidence!
