Walking Around the DC Memorials

Did I mention that we had a great time in DC? We really did. As you saw, we didn't spend all our time in museums. We spent one day mostly walking around the momument, memorials, and other outside stuff.

Here's an uninteresting, unflattering, uninspired shot. But it shows Soren at the White House!

He was actually really impressed with the WWII memorial.

Mostly because it had large bodies of water where you could throw coins and make a wish.

He takes his wishing very, very seriously!

Sticks + water can only be made better by the addition of wild animals.

Eventually we'll take him to Pisa for the ultimate trick photography opportunity. But we started small here:

We even rented paddle boats for a quick trip around the tidal basin.

...where we got to pretend it was President Obama being whisked back home over the cherry blossoms...

I have to say that again and again I was surprised how well Soren did in touring this big city. We truly were given exactly the right little boy for our family. Even after walking miles and miles and miles...

...he just kept going and going...

...with just a little help from his friends.
